In 2018, the Bidens adopted Major from the Wilmington animal rescue. In a week’s time, the German Shepherd will become the first rescue dog to live in the White House. The Delaware Humane Association (DHA) which Wilmington animal rescue is a part of, plans to celebrate the record in pomp and style on Feb 7. They’ve hyped the indoguration as ‘the world’s largest virtual party for dogs’.
DHA is a non-profit organisation that provides shelter, food and medical attention for over 2000 dogs and cats. It also operates low-cost vaccination clinics.
You can claim your spot for the Zoom event by donating $10 or more. The proceeds will help more shelter animals like Major.
